Why a face beats abstract visuals

Getting a good result from a photo
Front-facing photos work best. A clear, well-lit face looking roughly at the camera gives the model the most to work with.
Heavy shadow across the face, sunglasses, extreme angles and very low resolution are the common causes of a weak result. An ordinary phone photo taken in daylight is usually ideal.
